Here's a list of things that a UNIX administrator can say that a Windows-NT administrator will never say: (credit to Steve Oualline)

     "I just installed a new package and I put the entire thing in a single directory (and its children)."
     "I had a UNIX system crash on me - once - about in 1981."
     "I just installed software and I didn't reset teh machine."
     "I moved an application from one disk to another and all I had to do was change a couple of environment variables."
     "I added a disk and no path chnages. (A.K.A. Drive letters!  We don't need no stinking drive letters.)"
     "I just wrote those files to tape using /dev/tape."
